JACQUES SALERNO

Jacques Salerno (Foggia, 1994) is a designer, performer, painter and visual artist.

She graduated from the Perugini Art Institute in Decoration, as well as from the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara in Visual Arts.

Salerno's  aim is to explore the complexities of intimacy, genders issues and political injustices. She is inspired by the 30's and 40's figures, lines and the delicate colors. Art is investigating body and limits. In her work, she offers a contemporary vision in these changing times.

Her goal is to make people aware of the emotion and the fragility of the human being.

Art has the power to change people’s perception, make invisible things visible, be a force for empathy and humanize experiences that are not well understood. She uses art as a way to talk about social taboos and opens a debate on gender and contemporary social dynamics.
